Coming soon in 2008 is a new Alfa 147 1.9 JTDm 16v. This time it's a very special Ducati Corse Edition with 170 bhp and a Q2 limited slip differential. Alfa Romeo sponsor the World Superbike team so it is only fitting that the car has it's own unique styling. This is already being reported to be the best all round Alfa 147 ever !

This  Alfa 147 is for the more serious driver and will have a race button inside the car to switch the car's personality. The special wheels, Ducati decals inside and out really set this apart from the rest of the Alfa Romeo 147 range.

A collector car is the making as all previous Alfa Romeo models have proved in the past.

These are preview pictures of the car and the three colours , White, Black and Red. The Q2 differential is amazing on the current cars also and the Sport range is still available for a limited period only.

Allegedly, at Mira proving ground the 147 Sport Q2 with 150 bhp amazed journalist who raced it against a Mitsubish Evo 1X FQ 360 and the Alfa was faster on the inner handling section they tested.

The red is name Giulietta red after the famous classic Alfa Romeo of the 1960's.

It is rumoured that only 300 examples will reach the UK.

The Q2 system is based on a Torsen mechanical-type limited slip differential. The job of this differential is to divide the torque between the driving wheels depending on the grip conditions.

Combined with the front wishbone suspension, the system ensures particularly effective dynamic control of the vehicle and enhanced driving pleasure. Limited slip differentials used to be the preserve of works race and rally teams.
