1.0 Introduction

With a history that extends back to 1968, Mangoletsi of Knutsford Cheshire is Britain’s oldest and largest Alfa Romeo and Fiat dealership both in terms of it’s sales and service operation.

The company is privately owned and has the ethos of a family business (although it is not) while at the same time embracing modern technology and constantly looking for better and more innovative ways to approach opportunities.

Staff training is key and everyone in the dealership is well versed in the history of Alfa Romeo and Fiat whilst also knowing what new models and initiatives are about to be launched.

Service levels play a key role today and to show Mangoletsi pay particular attention to the service levels provided we recently developed a new state-of-the-art facility providing Mangoletsi with an extra 6000 hours of service per annum. All new vehicle pre delivery inspections and used vehicle inspections are carried out at this site. This is in addition to our main site at Allostock which provides service facilities to our present customers allowing the driver to benefit from a speedy and efficient service which our customers demand.

2.0 Sales Operation

We have been involved in the fleet business for many years and have a fleet department specialising in providing excellent service to leasing and contract hire companies of all sizes.

Because of our size, we will always have someone on site who can answer any query that you may have. We also understand how important keeping you informed is.

We have a fleet of demonstrators which is available for your customers to test drive. We also have access to longer term demonstrators which we will be happy to make available to your customers or yourselves in order that you can become familiar with new models that are launched or if you have new staff who are unfamiliar with the existing model range.

2.1 Vehicle Locates

Response time maximum 1 hour. On many occasions within 30 minutes We will exhaust every avenue to find the correct vehicle specification. As we are one of Alfa’s largest dealers, we can use our influence to find those vehicles which are sometimes difficult to locate.

2.2 Quotations

Maximum response time 1 hour, again we will endeavour to reply within 30 minutes.

2.3 Stock updates

We will update you with status reports by telephone, fax, email or Ebbon Dacs Leaselink. Weekly or more regularly if required. We will also let you know immediately of any special deals that we have been able to negotiate (this happens regularly) or any other special offers which may be available.

We will also keep you informed of new models, changes of specification or breaking news.

2.4 Delivery Service

We will endeavour to deliver by trailer each vehicle direct to the customer and for their vehicle to arrive in pristine condition. This is carried out by a team of non smoking drivers who complete a professional hand over service with the customer. Vehicles are delivered via single vehicle transporters and deliveries can usually be made at short notice if required.

3.0 Facilities

3.1. Workshop capacity and Vehicle Preparation Facilities

We have refurbished and refitted our workshop to increase our capacity. We replaced old outdated lifts with new ones which were repositioned and increased the total number of lifts from 9 to 14. This has resulted in a year on year increase in capacity of 50%, ensuring that we are always able to fit our fleet customers in for routine service and maintenance work.

We have a total of 28 courtesy vehicles and a collection and delivery service all of which ensures that we minimize inconvenience to our service customers.

3.2. Off Site Fleet Preparation Centre

Even with this significant increase in workshop capacity we felt that to optimise service levels to fleet and retail service customers and ensure the highest quality control standards that it would be prudent to receive and prepare all new vehicles in an off site purpose prepared preparation facility. We therefore decided to make major additional investment in an off site internal preparation, transporter delivery and secure compound storage area.

This has provided us with a large secure compound housing up to 200 cars. Space for transporters to park and unload, a four bay workshop with covered valeting and indoor storage for up to 15 prepared vehicles.

It also means that we can cope with transporters more easily, and the additional space and time given to checking in and moving vehicles around means that damage to them almost never occurs, improving processing time and resulting in deliveries on time every time.

We are also able to deal with large fleet orders and prepare the cars to the same high standards as individual orders. The specialisation of preparation by technicians and quality control means that we consistently achieve very high standards of preparation. In addition, small but important items such as correctly branded number plates or mats are always installed prior to delivery.

Due to the size of this facility, we are also easily able to process light commercial vehicles and speciality chassis cabs/conversions up to 3.5 tonnes.
