Cheshire Business Man Gets Dream Car

A PRESTBURY businessman is taking to life in the fast lane after ‘creating’ his personalised dream Alfa Romeo sports car – making it the most highly specified of its kind in Europe.

Sport car fanatic Prith Rajendran, from Prestbury, is the proud owner of a new Alfa Romeo MiTo which has been uniquely customised to his personal specification. Prith went to the UK’s largest and longest established Alfa Romeo dealership Mangoletsi, at Knutsford, for its specialist team to create the highly specified MiTo – upgrading it from £11,000 to £22,000 – costing double the standard model.

The car includes 16 of the 17 optional extras available on the MiTo, including 18’’ sports alloy wheels, Bi-xenon headlights and headlight washers, satellite navigation with colour screen, sport pedals and metal foot rest, as well as automatic headlights and window wipers.

Prith said: “I like tinkering with cars so I have almost built this car again with all the different additions I have made to the car.”

Now owning his 22nd Alfa Romeo, Prith admits his passion for Alfa’s started 20 years ago when his friends got him interested in the Italian marque.

Prith added: “Alfa Romeo has a very distinguished history stemming out of motor sports and the MiTo incorporates this history in a modern innovative design.

“They are quirky but it makes them fantastic to drive as they have a soul that other cars just don’t have.”

Mangoletsi Managing Director Fraser Hudson said: “At Mangoletsi we have some of the UK’s best Alfa Romeo Master Technicians who are able to fine tune cars and customise alterations to customers’ needs.

“Many of the technicians have been on advanced training courses to Alfa Romeo’s headquarters in Italy and we are proud of the level of speciailist knowledge our team offers customers.”
