Mangoletsi has opened order books for a new Giulia model called Veloce.
Designed to plug the gap between the standard models and the hot Quadrifoglio version, the Veloce comes with a 2.0-litre engine and blue paint option exclusive to the trim and will cost from £37,935.
That engine is a four-cylinder unit that makes 276bhp, which is some way short of the Quadrifoglio’s 503bhp but higher than the Speciale petrol model’s 197bhp output.
It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that feeds power to the rear wheels, resulting in a 0-60mph time of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 149mph. Demonstrating the Veloce’s appeal as a compromise between performance and low running costs, it returns an impressive 46.3mpg on the combined cycle, while CO2 emissions are 141g/km.
On the outside it looks a lot like the Speciale model as it shares the same sports bumpers, gloss black window surrounds and sporty rear diffuser. However, it is differentiated from the lower trim thanks to extravagant 18-inch alloy wheels similar to those found on the Quadrifoglio, as well as black brake calipers.
It certainly plugs the gap so why not enquire about one now. Click here for more information.
