About Motability
Motability is a registered charity, which helps disabled people and their families in the UK to become more mobile. It was set up on the initiative of the Government in 1977 to provide vehicles to disabled people. Terms have been arranged with motor manufacturers, wheelchair and vehicle adaptation suppliers and insurance companies so that a scheme could be offered that enables people with disabilities to become more mobile.

Am I eligible to join the Scheme?
You can apply to join the Motability Scheme if you receive one of these disability allowances:
Enhanced rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
You need to have at least 12 months left on your allowance if you're applying to join the Scheme. You can check your award length on your allowance award letter.

A brand new MG
Whichever MG you choose—electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or petrol—we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Insurance cover
Motability will arrange this for you. You can add up to three drivers and can change these at any time.
Servicing and MOT
Motability will cover your regular services and routine repairs, to keep your vehicle running perfectly.
Breakdown cover
Motability will give you breakdown cover so you can travel with peace of mind. If you get an MG, you’ll get RAC cover.
