Choose from two powerful electric motor options — 125kW or 170kW — with the range-topping 170kW rear-wheel drive model accelerating from 0–62 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

Built on MG’s innovative Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), the MGS5 EV benefits from the same advanced electric vehicle architecture first introduced on the award-winning MG4 EV in 2022.

Rapid Charging
New Generation Battery with Rapid Charging
MG's latest ultra-thin battery technology delivers rapid DC charging from 10–80% in as little as 28 minutes^ and offers up to 298 miles of WLTP range. With its advanced 400V architecture, MGS5 EV supports rapid charging speeds of up to 139kW – helping you get back on the road faster.
Designed to go the distance, the third-generation battery also provides exceptional charge retention, even during repeated fast charging. The result is improved efficiency, enhanced long-term performance, and greater durability, all within a more compact design that creates extra cabin space for everyone to enjoy.
Charging Time
^10–80% charging time is based on using a 150kW ultra-fast charger under standardised test conditions. Actual charging times may vary depending on factors including battery age and condition, ambient temperature, charging conditions, charger type and output, and current battery charge level. Charging may take longer when using lower-powered chargers. Availability of 150kW ultra-fast chargers may vary by location.
