Introducing the New MGS9 PHEV – MG’s First 7-Seat SUV

MG has unveiled the all-new MGS9 PHEV, its first seven-seat SUV, offering generous space, versatility and plug-in hybrid efficiency.

Designed for families and active lifestyles, the MGS9 PHEV features three rows of seating and over 1,000 litres of boot space when configured as a five-seater. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery, delivering up to 62 miles of electric-only driving*.

Available in Comfort and Premium trims, the MGS9 PHEV comes generously equipped with features including 20-inch alloy wheels, heated seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic roof and dual 12.3-inch displays. Prices start from £34,205 OTR for the Comfort model and £36,945 OTR for the Premium.

David Allison, MG UK’s Director of Product and Planning, described the MGS9 PHEV as “the most versatile MG ever,” combining seven-seat practicality, comfort and luxury with proven plug-in hybrid technology.

The MGS9 PHEV is available to order now, with first deliveries expected in late March. It is backed by MG’s 7-year/80,000-mile warranty and nationwide dealer network.

The MG S9 PHEV has a maximum braked towing capacity of 2,000 kg and an unbraked towing capacity of 750 kg. This rating makes the 7-seat plug-in hybrid capable of towing caravans, horseboxes, or large trailers

MG has unveiled the new MGS9 PHEV, a spacious and versatile seven-seat SUV that combines advanced plug-in hybrid technology, generous practicality and competitive pricing.

Designed for families and business users alike, the MGS9 PHEV offers seating for up to seven passengers and up to 1,026 litres of boot space with the third row folded. Flexible seating arrangements and a large cabin make it ideal for carrying passengers, luggage or larger items.

Powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 24.7kWh battery, the plug-in hybrid system delivers up to 62 miles of electric-only driving and CO₂ emissions of just 18g/km. A 65-litre fuel tank and 2,000kg towing capacity further enhance its practicality.

Available in Comfort and Premium trims, standard features include dual 12.3-inch displays, panoramic glass roof, tri-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 20-inch alloy wheels and a 360-degree camera. Premium models add luxury touches such as ventilated and massaging front seats, a Bose audio system and wireless phone charging.

Safety is a key focus, with a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and up to 16 advanced driver assistance systems. The MGS9 PHEV also features MG Pilot Custom, allowing drivers to save their preferred safety and assistance settings.
